Summary

The following is my summary of the three years in RMIT:

First year started with basic courses, learning the basic concepts and tools used in digital media, such as graphic design, video editing, and web development. At the same time, I began to gradually learn and use skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing software in the first year. As well as exploring basic coding and web design.

By my second year, I began to take more advanced digital media courses, covering topics such as digital storytelling, multimedia production, and interactive media design. We also specialize in specific aspects of digital media, such as web design, animation or social media management. During this year, I started to build my own digital media portfolio using projects from the coursework. A portfolio is important for future job applications and internships.

I stayed in China during my second year of college due to the pandemic, and I got an internship and started looking for internships or work-study opportunities in the digital media industry to gain hands-on experience.

In the final year we study more advanced and specialised courses in line with the chosen area of expertise in the field of digital media. And I went on to complete my internship online. During my three years as a digital media student, I honed my technical skills and kept up to date with the latest trends in the digital media industry.
